Job description

Are you someone who enjoys coaching and helping others to meet their career goals? Do you want to work with a great team, supporting a great mission? If so, you might be a good fit for our Full-Time Career Navigator position at the Iowa City Center.

Career Navigators serve as program and case managers for program participants. They are assigned to a caseload and aid in completing intakes, assessments, and other required documentation. Career Navigators help program participants identify required training tools and skills to develop a comprehensive career plan, and from there, they will administer interest and skill-based assessments as needed. Career Navigators support and guide participants to achieve their goals and ultimately gain employment in their targeted career. Career Navigators provide access to job shadows, internships, and other employment services to help participants meet career goals.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in human services, education, human resources, or a related field is required. Six years of related experience can be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • One year of employment in a related field is required. A relevant Master's degree may be substituted for the year of experience.
  • The Career Navigator will need a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of required auto insurance, and must pass motor vehicle record screening, dependent adult and child abuse, and criminal background checks.

The Career Navigator position has a starting wage of $20.26 per hour. The schedule will be 40 hours per week and the hours will typically be Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm, however, occasional flexibility in hours is required. Apply online at www.workatgoodwill.com.
