Job description

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, usually starting at 5 a.m. and ending when all deliveries are completed.

The Delivery Helper will assist and/or perform the tasks required of the Delivery Driver; they will unload each account’s order, place it in the designated area inside the account’s facility, fill all coolers and shelves, merchandise/face and straighten all products in the retail space, and rotate stock appropriately according to expiration date. This is very physically demanding work due to the weight of beverage products and the volume of product that goes out for delivery each day.

The Delivery Helpers’s primary role is to assist the Delivery Driver to safely execute on-time delivery of products while maximizing sales and minimizing returns. The Helper will learn to conduct a daily Pre-Trip Inspection of his assigned vehicle and will ensure all required tools and equipment are available on the truck. The Delivery Helpers must maintain a driving record that is acceptable to the Company and will learn the DOT regulations that he must follow.

The ideal candidate will be a true “people person” with a strong commitment to excellent customer service. Past merchandising and/or retail experience is a plus. Delivery Assistants will assist Delivery Drivers and learn the necessary merchandising and delivery skills on the job.

Delivery Helpers must possess a driving record that is acceptable to the Company, a valid drivers license, and personal automobile insurance. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 60 pounds repetitiously. We’re looking for a person with good knowledge of the Memphis market, or similar markets, who will enjoy being out in the trade with the customers and taking care of their product delivery needs. The Delivery Helper represents the Company so professional appearance and conduct are required.
