Job Summary
A logistics coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of goods throughout a company's supply chain, overseeing the storage and transportation of inventory, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers, and coordinating with various stakeholders like carriers, warehouses, and internal departments to maintain efficient operations; key duties include tracking shipments, managing orders, resolving logistics issues, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
. Dispatch - answer phones and emails in support of daily operations
. Customer order creation and invoicing through Delivery Works
. Leverage wireless monitoring to optimize dispatch routing through Smart Tank
. Communicate with customers to resolve issues related to order fullfillment
. Assist with DEF, Package, Fuel and Oil rack operations for in/outbound shipping and receiving
. Assist with Inventory control and procurement procedures
. Work through various truck issues routing repairs through the appropriate vendor
. Support Sales Team
. Work with our driving team to build efficiency
. Be able to create and present to the team areas that need strengthening & improvement
. Conduct Safety meetings
. Be involved with the onboarding of new drivers
. Be on time at work when the drivers are at work
. Being available on weekends to assist our driving team
. Possibility for third shift and fluctuating hours
Requirements and Qualifications
. High School diploma or equivalent
. Experience in customer service
. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft office suite and email
. Strong organizational and task management skills
. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
