Job description

As a Pilot Car Driver in the Transportation Division, you will be essential in escorting oversized loads and construction equipment to and from job sites, ensuring each move is conducted safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
  • Escort oversized loads and construction equipment to and from job sites in coordination with CDL drivers.
  • Follow all safety protocols and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations during transport.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance to ensure vehicle readiness.
  • Communicate clearly with team members to coordinate logistics and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Adapt to varying schedules, including irregular hours and overnight travel as required by project needs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Understanding of traffic laws and a strong commitment to safety standards.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel extensively, including overnight stays.
  • Ability to perform physical duties, including standing and lifting as needed.
  • Pilot car driver certification is a plus.
