SALARY RANGE: $15 to $23 / hour
Western Grain Marketing specializes in providing comprehensive grain handling, storage, and marketing solutions for customers.
We are committed to being the leading grain marketing and service company in our area.
A Grain Truck Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting agricultural commodities, such as grain, from farms, storage facilities, or processing plants to designated locations. The role involves operating heavy-duty trucks or trailers, ensuring timely deliveries, and adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Load, secure, and transport grain and related products to specified locations, ensuring cargo is delivered on time and in good condition.
Operate trucks and trailers (e.g., hopper-bottom, dump trailers) safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws and company policies.
Assist with loading and unloading grain, ensuring proper handling to prevent product loss or contamination.
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of trucks, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels; report any issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logs of hours driven, and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and comply with state and federal transportation laws.
Required Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
