Description
Summary: Class A Drivers are a crucial part of the Operations team at Reico. Drivers will make deliveries and provide exceptional customer service at time of delivery and adequate support to the RKB Sales' Teams. Drivers are expected to adhere DOT safety standards and operate all vehicles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • To become well versed in all products that Reico has to offer and ensure accurate deliveries.
  • Ensure items are free of damage at the time of delivery
  • Complete delivers with a positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Report to work on time and with the required attire such as work boots, gloves, hard hats, and long pants.
  • Ability to become proficient in the AS400 system to enter driver sheets including coding stops, entering accurate time codes, and retrieving Hazardous Materials paperwork.
  • Be reliable and capable of working with little to no supervision while making deliveries.
  • Deliver all materials to locations indicated on the invoice or specified by our customer.
  • Use company check off and double check procedures to ensure proper material is being delivered.
  • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle through proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Report all vehicle mechanical problems and damages to a supervisor immediately.
  • Drive responsibly and defensively and comply with all state and D.O.T. regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with sales teams and supervisors concerning any material and/or deliver concerns/issues
  • Complete driver check-in process after the completion of each route (i.e. turn in paperwork, report any delivery
  • issues, and turn in all C.O.D. funds that were received.
  • Assist with the unloading of extra and returned material while at driver check-in.
  • Assist warehouse when needed and deliver special runs when returning from route.
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings and training classes.
