Work EnvironmentPublic transit vehicles, bus stations, routes with passengersDelivery trucks, warehouses, customer locations

While both roles involve driving, a Driver Bus Driver primarily transports passengers on scheduled routes using a bus and requires a CDL with passenger endorsements. The key differences lie in their work environment, credentials, and the nature of their duties.

What type of bus driver makes the most money?

Long-haul or interstate bus drivers tend to earn higher salaries compared to local or city bus drivers due to longer routes and increased responsibilities. Additionally, bus drivers with specialized skills, such as operating double-decker or articulated buses, or those with advanced certifications, often have higher earning potential.

How difficult is it to become a bus driver?

Becoming a bus driver typically requires a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and passing a background check.
