About The Role
The Furniture Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting furniture and home goods to customers while providing exceptional service and care. This role involves loading and unloading merchandise, ensuring items are delivered without damage, and assisting with assembly or placement as needed. The driver represents the company on every delivery, maintaining a professional appearance and positive attitude while interacting with customers.
What you will be doing each day:
  • Deliver merchandise in a timely and professional manner, without damage to merchandise or customer's property
  • Ability to provide customer with knowledgeable and polite customer service; including meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Consistently looking for ways meet and succeed customer satisfaction
  • Follow relevant safety regulations and state laws governing vehicle operation and ensure that passengers follow safety regulations
  • Follow company safety procedures for vehicle operation.
What You Should Know
  • This is a physically demanding role that requires regularly lifting, carrying, and moving furniture and home goods weighing up to 100-150 pounds.
  • You will work a 4-day work week, providing an extra day off while maintaining a full-time schedule.
  • Drivers typically average 35-50 hours per week, depending on delivery volume, routes, and seasonal business needs.
  • You will spend most of your workday on the road delivering merchandise and interacting directly with customers, making strong customer service skills essential.
  • A valid driver's license is required. For Illinois-based drivers, a Class C endorsement is required, and the company will assist qualified candidates in obtaining it. A CDL is preferred but not required.
  • Experience operating a box truck or larger vehicle (26 feet or more) is preferred.
  • Safety is a top priority. Drivers are expected to follow all company safety procedures, vehicle operation guidelines, and applicable state regulations.
