Job description

Geo-Technology Associates Inc. is an engineering and consulting firm providing geotechnical, construction observation and testing, environmental, and natural resources services. Our work supports projects that rely on accurate field data, dependable execution, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

As a Geotechnical Driller, you will play an important part in field operations that support geotechnical and environmental investigations. This role is well suited to someone who takes pride in hands-on work, values safe and efficient job site practices, and contributes to projects through reliable drilling execution and thorough documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Perform geotechnical and direct push Geoprobe explorations and well installations using hollow stem auger and mud rotary methods.
  • Carry out day-to-day operation and maintenance of drill rig equipment.
  • Document geotechnical borings with daily logs.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area.
  • Operate within state and local regulations.

Requirements

Successful candidates MUST have:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Satisfactory driving record
  • 4+ years of geotechnical drilling experience
  • Experience with direct push Geoprobe drilling
  • Experience performing well installations
  • Experience documenting geotechnical borings in daily logs
  • Experience with hollow stem auger or mud rotary drilling methods
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Able to work on-site
  • Able to drive to job sites using a company truck
  • OSHA training and experience maintaining drill rigs preferred but not required
