Job description

GTA is currently seeking a Geotechnical Driller for our Sterling, VA office

Successful applicants should have experience with the following:

  • Performing geotechnical and direct push "Geoprobe" explorations and well installations using hollow stem auger and mud rotary methods.
  • Performing day-to-day operation and maintenance of drill rig equipment
  • Documenting geotechnical boring with daily logs
  • Maintaining a clean and hazard free work area
  • Operating within state and local regulations

This is a physically demanding position; successful candidates must have the ability to lift 50+ pounds, have the ability to walk on uneven terrain and in undeveloped wooded areas.  

Requirements

Successful candidates MUST have:

  • Driver's License 
  • Satisfactory driving record
  • 5 Years Geotechnical Drilling Experience
  • OSHA training and ability to maintain rigs preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
