Position: DevOps Engineer IV

Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 6 Months

Job Summary

 

Southern Company Services is seeking a DevOps Engineer IV with 10+ years of experience to design, implement, and support enterprise cloud infrastructure, AI platforms, and DevOps automation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (preferred), Azure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud security, CI/CD pipelines, AI infrastructure, and FinOps. This role will help build scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AI and cloud solutions while driving automation, governance, and operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Design and implement cloud infrastructure using GCP, Azure, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).

·       Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate cloud deployments.

·       Deploy and manage containerized applications and cloud-native workloads.

·       Implement cloud security, IAM, encryption, secrets management, and compliance controls.

·       Build scalable AI infrastructure and integrate governance into deployment pipelines.

·       Monitor AI models, cloud environments, and application performance.

·       Drive FinOps initiatives, including cloud cost optimization and resource management.

·       Design enterprise observability solutions for AI platforms and cloud infrastructure.

·       Support AI/ML lifecycle management, monitoring, drift detection, and automated response.

·       Develop and support agent-based AI systems and modern DevOps practices.

 

Required Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

·       10+ years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation experience.

·       Strong hands-on experience with GCP (preferred), Azure, or Databricks.

·       Experience with Terraform, Bicep, Kubernetes, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.

·       Strong scripting and automation skills.

·       Experience implementing cloud security and governance best practices.

·       Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
