Job description

Performs technical field work in the daily operation and maintenance of diesel and electric dredges. Work involves assembling the dredge, operating, maintaining, and repairing motor equipment in dredge operations, and laying pipe.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following:
  • Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of three (3) years of experience as a dredge operator, heavy equipment operator, or diesel mechanic.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience performing dredge operation,
  • Experience working around pumps,
  • Experience operating skid steer loaders/combination backhoe,
  • Experience working in confined spaces (must specify on application) , and
  • Knowledge of Sand Transfer Plants and pumping procedures (must specify on application).
