Drayage Management Coordinator

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Contract: 1 Year (Extension Possible)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (subject to change)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Drayage Management Coordinator to support daily drayage and transportation operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in freight forwarding, ocean import logistics, and transportation coordination, along with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.


Requirements

  • HSD or GED equivalent
  • Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation operations
  • Understanding of international transportation and ocean import shipments
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables required; skill assessment may be conducted)
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize urgent requests
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage drayage shipment movements from port arrival through final delivery
  • Review Arrival Notices and shipment information and issue delivery/work orders
  • Coordinate with drayage carriers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
  • Identify alternative carriers when capacity is limited
  • Share daily delivery schedules with carriers and internal teams
  • Track and monitor shipments, rail movements, and transportation providers
  • Provide delivery status updates to customers
  • Assist in resolving transportation and delivery issues
  • Support on-time delivery and customer service goals
  • Prepare KPI reports and operational updates
  • Maintain accurate records and support process improvement initiatives
  • Perform other logistics-related duties as assigned
