Job description

Multiwire Operator.
$20.25 per Hour.
Santa Teresa, NM.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Multiwire Operator to join our copper wire manufacturing team. The Multiwire Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining multiwire drawing equipment used in the production of copper wire. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate multiwire drawing machines and related production equipment.
  • Set up machines according to production specifications and work orders.
  • Monitor wire quality, dimensions, and surface condition throughout the production process.
  • Perform routine machine adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
  • Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments and record production data accurately.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, defects, or safety concerns.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing standards.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and team members to meet production goals.
 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, wire drawing, metal processing, or industrial experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
