Description

Hudson Deep Draw in Ormond Beach, FL is looking for a CNC Operator to work 5am to 3:30pm Monday through Thursday.   The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications and quality standards. This role includes loading materials, starting and monitoring machine operations, checking finished parts with measuring tools, and maintaining a safe and clean work area. 

Requirements

Analyzes and interprets drawings.

Includes written and verbal instruction for the tooling or die in question.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints- required

Plans own set-up and operate the necessary CNC machine tools.

Takes into consideration the type of material, tolerances, choice of cutting tools, lubricants/coolants and machine tool feeds.

Uses a variety of precision measuring and gauging tools both during and after machining.

May be required to measure and copy parts.

Determines specifications/standards for inspection of completed work and future repair specifications.

Maintains inventory. Includes inserts, end mills, drills used for the CNC equipment.

Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.

Returns unused materials or supplies to the correct location.

Observe all basic plant safety rules and safe operating procedures for tool room equipment.

Participates in tool design and process reviews as required.

Effectively communicates issues concerning safety, quality, delivery, productivity, tooling.



COMPETENCIES

Educational Requirements 

HS diploma or equivalent required 

Technical Experience: Minimum 1-2 years CNC experience required

Industry Experience: Previous stamping experience preferred.

Technical Competencies - specifically related to this position

Detail Oriented: High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Machine Tools Skills: Proficient in the operations of all tool room machine tools including lathes (both manual and

CNC), drill presses, milling machines and surface grinders. Ability to work to precision tolerances.

Analytical Skills: Good math skills. Ability to comprehend and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety

procedures, and operating procedures.

Problem Solving Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of manufacturing variables.

Blueprint Skills: The ability to read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and follow special written and/or verbal

instructions.

Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot tooling as required and assist other tool room personnel in their

projects or assignments.

Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication skills; ability to interact effectively in a team environment and to interact

with all levels of the organization, customer, and suppliers.

Decision Making Skills: Good decision making, planning, and organizational skills.

Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Flexible and able to work within tight deadlines.

Initiative: Self-motivated; ability to work with little supervision.

Physical Requirements:  Lift, push, pull, carry up to 50lbs
