Position: Dragon Slayer (Duct and Attic Installer)
Company: Knights of the Attic
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Greater of hourly base ($20-$40/hr based on experience) or task-based pay (based upon a combination of productivity, quality and customer satisfaction measures).
Company Summary:
Knights of the Attic is a leader in the Duct & Attic Renovation market, combating Arizona's extreme attic temperatures, which can soar to 155ยฐF-damaging HVAC systems and ductwork. We call this hidden threat an Attic Dragon-and we're dedicated to slaying it! We don't sell or service HVAC equipment. Instead, we specialize in fixing the actual problems hidden in attics and duct systems. These problems drain comfort, inflate energy bills, and pollute indoor air.
We help homeowners achieve comfort, efficiency, and indoor air quality by offering:
  • Duct repair, cleaning & replacement
  • Dropping, sealing, and burying ductwork under insulation
  • Blown-in insulation
  • Radiant barrier installation
  • Bath and ventilation fan installation
  • Dryer vent cleaning
  • Air balancing and HVAC system optimization

Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled and reliable Duct and Attic Installers to join our team of Knights to slay Attic Dragons! The ideal candidate has experience in residential ventilation, ductwork, HVAC and insulation industries. This role requires all work is performed to manufacturer specifications, meets local codes, achieves Company standards and exceeds customer expectations. As the term "Knights" portrays, an exceptional level of customer service as well as respect for the homeowner and their property must be provided on all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply all company methods to protect homeowners and their property.
  • Repair and modify residential ductwork and associated components.
  • Install new duct systems.
  • Seal duct systems and attics with spray foam.
  • Install fiberglass attic insulation using professional insulation equipment.
  • Install radiant barriers
  • Install ventilation components, including bath fans, dryer vent boxes, attic fans, fresh air ducts, HEPA & carbon filtration, etc.
  • Operate duct cleaning equipment and perform thorough duct cleaning services.
  • Conduct system testing, startup procedures.
  • Walk homeowners through completed installations, explaining work performed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and functional condition.
  • Complete required documentation and job reports accurately and on time.
  • Follow all company safety protocols, including the use of PPE and adherence to job site safety standards.
  • Deliver friendly, world-class service as customers expect from a Knight!
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of residential HVAC or Insulation installation experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor as customers expect from a Knight!

Work Conditions:
  • May involve evenings or weekend appointments. No On-Call!
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
  • Regular travel to customer locations.

Physical Requirements:
  • Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs., climbing ladders, maneuvering tight attic spaces, and working safely in extreme attic temperatures.
