Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Hands on coding, design, and architecting (60%)
  • Conduct code reviews
  • They have an Architect (not on their team) but this person will be responsible for coming up with the first draft
  • Manage team of 5-6 developers (30%) - performance reviews, 1 on 1's, etc.
  • Person will need to get in the weeds of the monolithic app and "dig" / come up with a move-forward plan to break down into microservices

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of management experience
    • Look at smaller companies/teams, where managers are required to be hands on
  • C# - TDD and BDD best practices
  • Extensive Rest API experience
  • ASP.NET
  • Kafka and event driven development
  • Modern RDBMS (i.e. MS SQL, Postgres, MySQL)
  • Azure - developing cloud-native apps/services
  • Docker and CI/CD pipelines

  • Previous experience moving from monolithic to microservices
