Brief Description
The Design Engineer is responsible for designing and detailing large industrial pneumatic conveying 
equipment according to company and customer specifications and within the designated time frames.

Key Responsibilities 
Coordinate with engineering leadership on job requirements, activities, and schedules with the 
assignment of each job
Use Autodesk AutoCAD 2D and Inventor/Solidworks 2D and 3D files and rough sketches to create 
details and layout drawings per instructions and concepts
Create multi-view detailed drawings, models, and assemblies for LDX equipment general 
arrangements, field erection drawings, and shop fabrication drawings using mechanical expertise, 
calculations, previous project files, or other direction from product leaders
Work closely with project managers and engineering team to execute the client's needs and 
expectations, in a timely manner and on budget
Effectively communicate relevant project information to team leaders in other engineering disciplines
(structural, electrical, and process)
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
Help create and maintain CAD standards
Learn and contribute to redline drawing repairs, as-built drawing revisions, and P&ID creation

Qualifications (Required) 
Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent experience as a Mechanical 
Designer or engineering role
Some level of intern, co-op, or other experience working in the mechanical design field or in support 
of mechanical design needs or fabrication
Experience with 2D & 3D modeling
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
IT and CAD knowledge
Strong computer and mathematical skills
Experience designing industry-specific products
Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change
Ability to work in a team environment
Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative
Advanced proficiency with MS Office, specifically Word & Excel

Other Valued Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Preferred) 
Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, or AutoCAD experience
Experience in drafting/design layout for large industrial equipment
