Job description

Description:

As our Fall Marketing Intern, you will work alongside the corporate marketing team to execute campaigns that support brand awareness, lead generation, and employee engagement. You will touch nearly every part of the marketing mix — web, social, content, email, and analytics — and finish the summer with a portfolio of published work and measurable outcomes you can point to in future interviews.

This is a substantive role designed for a student who wants to see how a modern B2B marketing function operates.

Key Responsibilities

Website & Digital

  • Assist with routine website updates in WordPress, including landing pages, team bios, case studies, and blog posts.
  • Perform QA on new pages across desktop and mobile, flagging broken links, formatting issues, and accessibility concerns.
  • Support basic on-page SEO tasks such as metadata, alt text, and internal linking under the guidance of the digital team.

Social Media

  • Draft, schedule, and publish posts across LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Help build a rolling content calendar tied to campaigns, holidays, company news, and industry moments.
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments under team review, and compile monthly performance snapshots.
  • Create supporting graphics as needed for posts.

Content Writing

  • Utilize AI to write blog posts, case study drafts, employee spotlights, and short-form social copy in Hammer’s brand voice.
  • Proofread and edit marketing collateral for grammar, clarity, and brand consistency.
  • Be able to take a complicated topic and create a story telling approach.

Campaigns & Email

  • Help coordinate logistics for webinars, events, and sponsorships, including promotion, reminders, and post-event follow-up.
  • Ability to be able to create graphics for emails is a plus.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Pull data from Google Analytics, LinkedIn, and YouTube to help build monthly performance reports.
  • Present one mid-summer and one end-of-summer readout summarizing what you worked on, what you learned, and what you’d recommend next.

Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university, with expected graduation in December 2026 or later.
  • Rising junior or senior standing preferred; strong sophomores will be considered.
  • Major in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA.
  • Demonstrably strong writing and editing skills — please submit 1–2 writing samples with your application.
  • Working knowledge of major social platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube) from a professional, not just personal, perspective.
  • Comfortable in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Copilot)
  • Entrepreneurial and independent attitude but wants to collaborate with across teams.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship, campus publication, student organization, or freelance experience producing marketing or editorial content.
  • Familiarity with any of the following: WordPress, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Analytics.
  • Basic understanding of SEO, AEO, GEO principles and B2B marketing concepts.
  • Interest in technology, consulting, or professional services industries.
  • Coursework or personal projects involving analytics, digital marketing, or content strategy.
