Job description

Position Summary: As a Corporate Sales and Service Intern, you will support the Iowa Wild Corporate Partnerships team through client servicing, game day operations and sales prospecting, This role plays a key part in maintaining strong relationships with existing partners, ensuring the successful execution of sponsorship activations and identifying new business opportunities. This role's contributions directly impact the organization's ability to grow revenue, enhance partner satisfaction, and deliver first-class experience to corporate clients.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Assist with day-to-day client engagement and service.
    • Help prepare materials for partner meetings and presentations.
    • Assist in daily communication with corporate partners to ensure their needs are met.
    • Responsible for activating corporate partner tickets, concourse tables, and other important partner assets.
    • Greet and support corporate partners during home games and special events.
    • Provide excellent customer service to partners and guests at games and events.
  • Help maintain accurate records and track partnership deliverables.
    • Support the organization of partner contact lists, contracts, and sponsorship details.
    • Assist with tracking and organizing sponsor deliverables and activation items.
    • Contribute to the creation and updating of partnership proposals and recap presentations.
    • Enter and update relevant information in the sponsorship management system.
  • Complete game day and event responsibilities.
    • Coordinate sponsorship activations and concourse table setups.
    • Assist with in-game sponsorship promotions, including distribution of promotional items at exits.
    • Serve as a Corporate Sales and Service liaison for suite holders during games, ensuring a high level of client service.
    • Manage and support sponsorship-related promotions and activations during intermissions, such as Zamboni rides, Chuck-A-Puck, and similar fan engagement initiatives.
  • Support the Corporate Partnerships team with sales and prospecting efforts.
    • Help research and identify potential new corporate partners.
    • Assist in organizing and maintaining lead lists for partnership outreach.
    • Support outreach efforts by drafting introductory emails or materials.
    • Sit in meetings with potential partners to observe and learn about the sales process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Sales, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge & Experience:
  • Customer Service experience.
  • Experience in the sports industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with database management tools (i.e. CRM).
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work approximately 30 hours per week.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
