Job description

Outsourcing Advantage is a boutique business process outsourcing provider specializing in back-office and customer support services for US-based companies. We are seeking a skilled SeniorArchitectural Draftsperson / Designer to join our remote team and support residential construction projects for clients in the United States.

This role is critical in delivering high-quality construction documents and ensuring compliance with regional building codes. You will collaborate closely with US-based architects, engineers, and project managers to produce accurate and comprehensive drawing sets.

Key responsibilities include:

Draft and produce residential construction documents in AutoCAD, including plans, sections, and fully dimensioned drawings

  • Develop structural layouts and perform basic structural path sizing for residential buildings
  • Prepare electrical and plumbing riser diagrams
  • Create and maintain drawing annotations and tags (smoke detectors, windows, doors)
  • Develop footing details, window schedules, and door schedules
  • Incorporate redlines and revisions; ensure drawing set completeness and consistency
  • Coordinate deliverables to align with New York State residential building code requirements (New Jersey code familiarity is a plus)
  • Senior Architect that can mentor juniors, leads teams, and manages project budgets/timelines
  • 7+ years of professional experience drafting residential construction documents in AutoCAD
  • Strong AutoCAD drafting skills for residential construction documents
  • Proven ability to independently develop basic residential structural layouts and perform structural load path sizing
  • Experience producing electrical and plumbing riser diagrams for residential projects
  • Experience producing residential drawing set components including sections, details, fully dimensioned plans, window/door schedules, and footing details
  • Knowledge of New York State residential building code
  • Experience coordinating day-to-day with US-based architects, engineers, and project managers
  • English proficiency at CEFR C1 level (spoken and written), with ability to provide a brief voice note introducing yourself in English
  • Portfolio or work samples of residential drafting/construction document work
  • Ability to provide details of your equipment setup (PC/laptop specs, monitors, AutoCAD-capable setup), power backup, and internet connection including backups
