Job Description
Our client is seeking Drafter/Designers for an exciting contract to hire scenario. The Drafter will be experienced in preparing clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings. A solid understanding of energy industry related drafting techniques and engineering terminology is required.
The Drafter/Designer shall have a drafting background and specialize in 2D & 3D AutoCAD and Civil 3D programs. They will also actively manage their time to maintain efficient, effective, and accurate production within their projects. Also, the Drafter will have strong communication skills and be able to accomplish the results of the project at hand.
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
DUTIES:
  • Actively engage in professional development.
  • Champion company goals and processes.
  • Actively participate in QA/QC to ensure consistency within the department.
  • Work with Project teams to ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Clearly convey design philosophies, expectations, and timeline.
  • Works with Project Drafting Lead to complete drafting assignments in timely manner.
  • Create and setup CAD files.
  • Adhere to standards when creating/modifying drawings.
  • Self-check drawings and models prior to delivery to Project Drafting Lead.
  • Generate project deliverables utilizing Adobe Acrobat.
  • Work within the estimated time constraints given by Project Drafting Lead.
  • Maintain and continually improve technical and professional abilities.
  • Treat all company information and customer information confidentially.

REQUIRMENTS:
  • 6+ of hands-on drafting experience
  • Specialize in 2D & 3D AutoCAD and Civil 3D AutoCAD software.
  • High level of organizational skills.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft office suites.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively.
  • Take an active role in growing skills, abilities, and knowledge to further understand all aspects of the position.
  • Perform well in both individual and team environments.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and assignments willingly.
  • Accomplish tasks often on fixed and tight deadlines for multiple and often simultaneous projects.
  • Excel in a fast paced working environment with aggressive deadlines.
  • Able to identify needs, develop solutions, and articulate ideas.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills.
  • Exhibit self-starter mentality and effectively manage time.
  • Familiar with Oil & Gas industry practices and standards.
