At Pauley Construction, LLC, as a Drafter Designer, you'll plot, map, design, and draft in CADD using the requirements for telecommunications networks and permits. You will create accurate network maps, layouts, drawings, and detailed electronic construction prints to meet customer expectations.

What you'll do
  • Create new Outside Plant (OSP) network designs in various applications/software
  • Develop and issue work prints for OSP Telecom networks
  • Work with Engineering and Construction departments and coordinate with permitting agencies
  • Create documentation and reporting to support the work package, ie: bill of materials, labor quantities, etc.
  • Ensure facility designs follow company standards and comply with the requirements of local, state and federal regulations, which may include Rural Utilities Service (RUS)
  • Provide any documentation required for the cost-effective placement of communication facilities
  • Meet project deadlines and successfully complete tasks under tight timelines
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll need
    • To be 18 years of age or older
    • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
    • High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or at least three years of telecommunications.
    • Must possess, or obtain upon employment, a valid driver's license.
    • Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening.
    • Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed.
    • May be required to work after hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed.
    • Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.

    • You will have training in the field
    • You will have good interpersonal skills
    • You will have solid experience with the principles and practices of fiber specific projects, network deployments and related fields
    • You may have 1 or more years of progressive experience in drafting - You may have proficiency in Auto CAD
