Designer Drafter (AutoCAD) – Claffey Pools

Location: Southlake, TX
Pay: $18.00 – $32.00 per hour (DOE)

Overview

Claffey Pools is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Designer/Drafter (AutoCAD) to join our growing team. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining construction drawings for custom pool projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance with local building codes, and alignment with project specifications.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and can effectively communicate with team members & other departments at Claffey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and maintain detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD for pool & outdoor living.
  • Prepare and submit permit drawings in accordance with municipal requirements
  • Review and update drawings throughout the construction process as needed
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Construction, and Design teams to ensure project accuracy and timelines are met
  • Ensure all drawings comply with local city building codes and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and documentation daily
  • Audit construction plans and implement necessary updates or corrections
  • Assist in documenting and improving design/drafting processes and workflows

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of AutoCAD experience (required)
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD software
  • Experience working with construction drawings (required)
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Swimming pool construction or related construction industries experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of building codes and permitting processes
  • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
