Draft Service Technician (DST)

Position Description and Performance Requirements

The position of Draft Service Technician (DST) is a position whose role is to service draft beer equipment. Candidates for this position can expect it to be very hands-on and mechanically based - but we provide you will all the ongoing training, tools, and resources you need to be successful!

Strong customer service skills are expected in this position as employees communicate with customers directly regarding assigned installations, timelines, route coverage, etc.

Position Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of draft beer systems (preferred but not required)
  • Mechanically/technically inclined (preferred but not required)
  • Be results-driven and self-motivated
  • Cicerone certification is required of all current AHFP employees

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist with route coverage when needed including AM accounts and venues.
  • Carry out quarterly preventive maintenance (PM) contracts
  • Attend the necessary facilities to become Micro Matic certified if requested.
  • Attend, as assigned, all other training deemed necessary by AHFP.
  • Work with and provide training to other employees
  • Maintain effective and professional working relationships with assigned accounts, sales representatives, and draft tech department personnel
  • Effectively manage all equipment to include care and maintenance and inventory of assigned equipment and tools
  • Manage the draft service tech vehicle in accordance to all AHFP policy
  • Additional duties may include line cleaning and other non-billable services as dictated by the demands of the market

Starting Salary

  • Up to $20.00/hr

Working Hours

  • Standard working hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Hours may vary and may require evening and weekend work depending on business needs

Education / Experience

  • 3 years in related industries
  • Strong experiences in draft beer industry preferred

Travel

  • Travel may be required as a part of this position. Travel will encompass AHFP's regional footprint and is usually limited to weekdays.
