Job description

Purpose
The Yard Manager is responsible for keeping the dealership lot in a professional appearance, organized, and safe. The Yard Manager will work with LandMark Transport loading and unloading equipment according to LandMark Implement's safety policies. This position will support all departments to run smoothly and efficiently, including parts delivery if needed and assisting the Service department.
Responsibilities
  • Organizes and inventories lot ensuring working environment is safe for both customers and employees
  • Assist LandMark Transport with unloading and loading of equipment according to safety polices
  • Maintains a neat and clean yard at all time, including mowing lawns, trimming weeds, and lot clean up
  • Responsible for snow and ice removal tasks such as shoveling sidewalks, steps, and doorways
  • Operates snowblower or snowplow to clear roads, driveways, and parking lots
  • Upkeep on the property including light maintenance
  • Operation of many types of equipment such as skid loaders, excavators, dozers, forklifts, boom lifts and scissor lifts to transport parts, equipment and supplies for the dealership
  • Assists with the maintenance and repair of road surfaces
  • May supply Service Technicians with parts as required and/or help with Service Maintenance
  • May provide support to Sales department with inventory and stock checks
  • Parts delivery when needed
  • Performs or manages routine maintenance on LandMark Implement equipment, including trucks, cranes, and forklifts
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Complies with all applicable safety rules and policies

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license, CDL preferred
  • Ability to operate various types of equipment and power tools
  • Familiar with Agriculture Equipment usage and operation
  • Basic Mechanical abilities
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and thoroughly

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle, as well as stand, walk, and move in and out of the vehicle throughout the workday. The position involves frequent use of hands and arms to operate controls, secure loads, and handle materials, along with regularly lifting up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Duties include reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and performing repetitive motions such as gripping and securing cargo. Strong visual ability and sustained alertness are essential for safe vehicle operation, along with regular communication via telephone and electronic tools.
