Job description

We are seeking an experienced Dozer & Finish Grade Operator who can efficiently and safely operate both bulldozers and motor graders. This position is for an operator who takes pride in producing quality work, takes care of equipment, works well with the crew, and represents our company the right way.

We are looking for more than someone who can simply run equipment. We want a dependable team member who shares our commitment to integrity, accountability, safety, quality workmanship, and respect for others.


Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate dozers and motor graders
  • Perform finish grading to required elevations, slopes, and tolerances
  • Grade building pads, roads, parking areas, ditches, slopes, and other site features
  • Read and understand grade stakes, plans, and site elevations
  • Work with GPS/machine-control systems when applicable
  • Maintain production while protecting the quality of the finished product
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  • Keep equipment clean and report maintenance or repair needs promptly
  • Work closely with foremen, laborers, truck drivers, and other equipment operators
  • Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures
  • Help maintain an organized, professional, and productive jobsite


Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating both a dozer and motor grader
  • Strong finish-grade skills required
  • Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy or safety
  • Ability to understand grades, elevations, slopes, and drainage
  • GPS/machine-control experience is a plus
  • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work outdoors in changing weather and jobsite conditions
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong member of the crew
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • CDL is a plus
