Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Day & Residential Programs (Silver Spring, MD)

Position Summary

V-Tech Solutions, Inc. is seeking Maryland Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) for Day and Residential Programs. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LPN ensures safe, accurate medication administration, compliant documentation, timely health assessments, and coordinated care across multiple home and program sites. The role is based out of downtown Silver Spring, MD, with regular travel to program locations across Washington, DC, Prince Georgeโ€™s County, and Montgomery County. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Medication Administration & Documentation

ยท Administer medications across multiple residential homes and day program sites.

ยท Maintain accurate, timely Medication Administration Records (MARs).

ยท Transcribe physician orders and ensure monthly MAR updates; RN will co-sign as required.

ยท Review daily medication refill needs and deliver medications to homes as needed.

ยท Distribute monthly MARs and medication packets to assigned sites.

Clinical Care & Health Monitoring

ยท Conduct nursing assessments for individuals supported in day and residential settings.

ยท Monitor overall health status during home visits and program hours.

ยท Support chronic condition management and follow-up care.

ยท Prepare documentation and materials for specialty clinic consults and medical appointments.

Program Support & Coordination

ยท Provide nursing coverage for the Day Program as needed.

ยท Attend Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings and contribute to person-centered planning.

ยท Collaborate with DSPs, residential staff, and program leadership to ensure continuity of care.

ยท Support compliance with NCC policies, state regulations, and IDD service standards.

Schedule & Work Environment

ยท Mondayโ€“Friday, flexible shifts (typically 9amโ€“5pm or 12pmโ€“8pm).

ยท One weekend per month required.

ยท Office base: Downtown Silver Spring, MD.

ยท Travel required across DC, PG County, and Montgomery County (mileage reimbursed).

Required Qualifications

ยท Active LPN license in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

ยท Valid driverโ€™s license and personal vehicle.

ยท CPR and First Aid certification.

ยท Diploma/certificate from an accredited nursing program (two-year college or technical school).

ยท COVID-19 vaccination required prior to start date.

Preferred Experience

ยท Experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

ยท Familiarity with community-based residential services, day programs, or home health.

ยท Strong clinical documentation and medication management skills.

Compensation

$25.00 - $29.00 per hour
