Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Greeter at Fergusons Downtown, you are the first point of contact for all guests, creating a warm and welcoming environment that reflects the spirit of our community space. You will assist visitors by providing information, directions, and recommendations, while actively monitoring the premises to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience for all. This role combines hospitality with operational awareness and public safety, making it essential to maintain strong communication skills, attentiveness, and a proactive attitude.


KEY RESPONSILITIES

  • Actively greet and welcome patrons to Fergusons Downtown
  • Direct guests to their desired location and provide an overview of the property
  • Maintain a daily calendar of events occurring at Fergusons Downtown
  • Oversee front entrance ticket sales when applicable
  • Patrol the premises to ensure they remain free of refuse, graffiti, and hazardous materials; remove any items posing safety concerns
  • Perform regular property walks to ensure cleanliness and safety, including restocking restroom supplies as needed.
  • Enforce the City Security Plan
  • Perform opening and/or closing procedures
  • Proactively prevent crime and report any suspicious or dangerous activity to the appropriate authorities while serving as a reliable witness
  • Write clear and concise witness statements to assist law enforcement investigations
  • Complete internal incident reports and log them into the company’s database
  • Accept packages or letters delivered to Fergusons Downtown
  • Monitor and enforce Fergusons Downtown house rules
  • Track the number of patrons entering and exiting the property
  • Offer to take photos of guests in front of Big Rig Jig
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Tolerate environmental conditions such as excessive noise, heat, cold, and cigarette smoke


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must be able to obtain a Sheriff's Card and TAM Card
  • Strong familiarity with Downtown Las Vegas, its businesses, and services
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills to handle guest issues and requests
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Professional hygiene and grooming standards
  • Friendly, helpful, and effective at guest communication
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and overall Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a customer-facing role’

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee’s department.
  • Attend required training sessions offered by DTP.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to drink alcoholic beverages.
  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
