POSITION SUMMARY:
The Bakery Clerk is responsible mixing and measuring ingredients into dough in preparation for baking, monitor shrink within the department, ensure all orders are completed in accordance with production schedule; machinery is in good operating order. Responsible for providing quality customer service, practicing safe food handling procedures, assist with inventory, stocking, product rotation and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes, roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts tarts, cookies, and related bakery products
Cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing
Training assistants and maintaining cleanliness of the bakery
Maintaining records of customer orders
Provide quality customer service and take cake orders
Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately
Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained
Rotation of merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent;
Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in a bakery department.
Bilingual in English and Spanish
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS:

WALKING: Continuously, throughout shift, while moving about the store and handling merchandise.
