About The Role


 Double E Group is an international market leader in the engineering and manufacturing of web handling, material handling, and converting solutions. Our broad portfolio of products is marketed to the paper, tissue, film and foil converting industries. This position is responsible for working with all areas of production to provide a top tier product for our customers. In this role, you will weld metal components together, fabricate, or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders, using brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment.


 What You’ll Do 

  • Prepare stock for welding 
  • Produce welded fabrications to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Assist in fabrication design reviews
  • Operate the pipe driller, shower polisher, weld-a-round, and welders
  • Operate hand grinders, drill presses, sand blasters, TIG & MIG welders, stick welders and plasma torches 
  • Properly document materials used and job progress
  • Safely use and handle welding gases and materials
  • Safely operate the overhead crane, and other lifting equipment, with safe and proper load management
  • Properly dispose of wastes created by the welding processes
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Maintain well kept and safe tools
  • Clean-up and maintain equipment used
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor


Requirements:

 About You 

  • Able to use basic measuring tools
  • Able to perform basic arithmetic calculations (+, -, *, /)
  • Knowledge of welding materials and practices
  • Able to operate and maintain wire feed, stick, and gas welding equipment
  • Able to read work instructions and keep required records
  • Able to read mechanical drawings
  • Able to layout, drill, and tap holes
  • Eager to continue to learn and develop 
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • You are a reliable, dependable team player
  • Willing to work overtime as needed


 Education and Experience

  • High School diploma, GED, or related trade school experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
