Job description

Position: Application Developer

Company: Altus Engineering

Location: Remote

Salary: $90,000-$160,000 per year

Position Overview

Altus Engineering is seeking experienced Application Developers to support an anticipated federal contract initiative.

*This position is contingent upon contract award

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, test, deploy, and sustain enterprise applications using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
  • Develop and maintain front-end and back-end functionality using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and modern web frameworks.
  • Develop application features, REST APIs, database-driven workflows, reports, and external system interfaces.
  • Investigate and resolve production defects, user tickets, data anomalies, and performance issues.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 application support, including workarounds and durable corrective actions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint activities, testing, and release activities.
  • Develop and execute unit and integration tests and support user acceptance testing.
  • Conduct peer reviews and apply secure coding practices.
  • Support vulnerability remediation, Section 508 compliance, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
  • Develop and maintain application, interface, architecture, release, and configuration documentation.
  • Collaborate with Government users, developers, testers, cybersecurity personnel, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications / Desired Skills

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Active SECRET clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing and sustaining enterprise web applications using C#, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and relational databases.
  • Experience troubleshooting, modernizing, and sustaining mature enterprise applications.
  • Experience with Git, automated testing, and Agile software development practices.
  • DoD 8140/8570 IAT II certification requirement, such as Security+ CE.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Oracle and/or SQL experience, including PL/SQL, stored procedures, schema design, and performance optimization.
