Role: Application Developer
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Type: Contract
Apex Systems, a national leader in IT staffing and solutions, is looking for a Mid-level Application Developer for a large client in Indianapolis, IN. This is an on-site, long term contract role, without the opportunity to work remotely. This person will work alongside a team of developers and architects on multiple VBScript and C# based applications.

Job Duties:
  • Responsible for the technical development, processes and standardization across the different functional areas.
  • Support and develop applications based on VBScript and C# primarily, with secondary language requirements in .NET and SQL.
  • Database experience; preferably with SQL DB.
  • Responsible for the design, development, implementation, management and support of mission critical enterprise business intelligence solutions to meet identified business needs.
  • Ensure appropriate support on existing technical tools and solutions deployed across the different functional areas.
  • Design and develop pre-defined dashboards and reports or self-service reporting capabilities.
  • Deploy and manage business intelligence monitoring service applications.
  • Handle routine tasks needed in the different solutions develop and maintained by Business Intelligence Center.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop new processes and procedures to support deployment of new technical solutions.
  • Modify existing processes and procedures as needed to support modifications to existing systems.
  • Help resolve applications problems as required.
  • Monitor logs, user activity and resource utilization of production environment.
  • Develop new processes and services both internally and externally to leverage new system tools in the clinical data management teams.
  • Participate in initial interactions as required with clients to establish new standards or drive standards across various internal clients.
  • Analyze and measure data quality levels, identify data quality issues, and work with users and other IT functions to facilitate data quality improvement on data used by Business Intelligence Center.
  • In conjunction with IT and Solutions Architects, develop and maintain small to large scale systems.
  • Design and build reports and analyses in various business intelligence solutions.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, quality and productivity.
  • Support the long term needs of functional areas based on defined strategic roadmap.
