<b>JOB DESCRIPTION</b><br><br> Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. Featuring a charming downtown, comfortable coastal weather, idyllic views, and an active lifestyle San Luis Obispo offers much to be had.<br> <br>Job Summary:<br> <br>Assists with cardiovascular and non-invasive studies or treatments. Performs M-Mode with calculations, 2-D procedures with all necessary views and calculations and Doppler echo with analysis, all information and data as required. Demonstrates ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient's age-specific needs (i.e. Pediatric Echo or Geriatric Doppler Exam) and anticipate the needs of physician and provide awareness of potential patient problems. This position is represented by SEIU.<br> <br>Job Requirements:<br><br>Education and Work Experience:<br> <ul> <li>Two years experience as a cardiac ultrasound sonographer and/or completion of a one year certified cardiac ultrasound course: Preferred</li> <li>Two years experience as a vascular sonographer and/or completed a certified vascular sonographer course: Preferred</li> <li>Two years experience as a pediatric cardiac sonographer and/or completed a certified pediatric sonography course: Preferred</li> <li>One years' experience as a Fetal ECHO sonographer and/or completed a certified Fetal ECHO sonography course: Preferred</li> </ul><br>Licenses/Certifications:<br> <ul> <li>Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasonographer (RDCS): Required</li> <li>Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT): Required</li> <li>Pediatric Echocardiography (PE): Required</li> <li>Fetal Echocardiography (FE): Preferred</li> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required</li> <li>Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) Certification or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS): Required</li> <li>Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI RVS): Required</li> <li>ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCCS: Required</li> </ul><br>Facility Specific License/Certifications:<br> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required</li> </ul><br>Essential Functions:<br> <ul> <li>Performs M-Mode with calculations, 2-D procedures with all necessary views and calculations, Doppler echo with analysis on Adult, Pediatric and Neonate patients, and documents all information and data as required.</li> <li>Performs all peripheral vascular procedures including arterial Doppler, venous Doppler, segmental pressures, ankle-arm index, carotid ultrasound.</li> <li>Performs tilt table exams, treadmills, 24 hour holters, and pharmacological studies.</li> <li>Keeps up-to-date with the latest advances in cardiovascular techniques and equipment.</li> <li>Precepts new staff members and helps mentors other staff as needed.</li> <li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</li> </ul><br>Organizational Requirements:<br> <br>Adventist Health is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
