Job description

The brand's iconic Hot Light lets guests know when doughnuts are being made fresh in shop so they can enjoy hot doughnuts fresh off the line. To make Krispy Kreme's in-shop experience even sweeter, many shops across the globe feature the brands one-of-a-kind doughnut theatre, an immersive, interactive experience through which guests can see Krispy Kreme's melt-in-your-mouth doughnuts being made right before their eyes.
Krispy Kreme's Maintenance Technician in our Doughnut Factory is critical to keeping our delicious doughnuts running on our Doughnut making equipment, so our customers receive their orders on time.
HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • You'll ensure our doughnut making equipment and Doughnut Factory facility are running in tip-top shape.
  • Part of your daily routine will include preventative maintenance on all factory equipment, troubleshooting equipment issues and performing repairs. We have a Preventative Maintenance Calendar that shows your daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual maintenance to be completed to help keep you on track for impeccable equipment maintenance.
  • You'll use personal protective equipment (PPE) when working on our doughnut-making equipment. Part of the work to perform includes assembling mechanical components and electrical devices, and possibly performing welding and fabricating as needed.
  • There might be other duties too, as the world of doughnut making is ever-changing!

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
  • The skills needed to get the job done will require you to be proficient in at least five areas and have knowledge of the others:
  • Automated equipment operation, including setup, teardown and repair; Boiler operation; Electrical wiring; Hydraulics; Pipe fitting and plumbing; Pneumatics, Sheet metal; Welding; Shop machinery; PLC troubleshooting and programming. Of course, a strong work ethic, being part of a team, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are important too.
  • You'll need a high school diploma / equivalency or GED
  • It's extra awesome if you have 3-5 years of experience in an Industrial Plant and/or have completed a technical program or certification in electric, welding or general machine maintenance.
