JOB TITLE: Donor Database Specialist
REPORTS TO: Director of Development & Major Gifts
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
SUPERVISION TO: None
JOB FUNCTION:
FaithBridge Foster Care, Georgia's largest Christ-centered foster care agency (a non-profit organization) located in metro Atlanta, is excited to present the opportunity of the Donor Database Specialist.
This position assists in Development operations, CRM strategy, and donor engagement processes across the Development team. The role manages donor data systems, oversees gift processing and acknowledgment, conducts prospect research, and leads donation reporting efforts. This position assists the development team with coordinating and managing the results of annual fund campaigns.
Core Responsibilities and Expectations
o Serve as primary administrator of Bloomerang CRM.
o Ensure data integrity, manage gift entry and coding, and document donor interactions in real-time.
o Train Development and other relevant staff on CRM usage.
o Conduct donor segmentation and prospect research to support cultivation strategies.
o Analyze donor data, campaign performance, giving trends, and engagement patterns to identify opportunities for improved donor communication, stewardship, and fundraising outcomes.
o Translate donor data and reporting into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations for the Development and Marketing teams.
o Collaborate with the Director of Development to analyze and enhance donor engagement strategies.
o Maintain and improve workflows for donor tracking, segmentation, and performance reporting.
o Provide support for Development and other team members with their Donor Engagement Plans (DEP)
o Process all gifts via mail, credit card, online, and stock transfers; batch donations to Finance in a timely manner.
o Spearhead daily chain of custody (CoC) for opening mail, collaborating with relevant team members, and distributing CoC via email.
o Prepare and distribute weekly financial reports showing progress toward fundraising goals.
o Manage the donor portfolios of the CEO and other Development team members as needed
o Conduct research to create bios for CEO's donor portfolio.
o Utilize Wealth Screening tool within Bloomerang CRM to identify current and/or new donors qualified for increased giving.
o Generate and review LYBUNT and SYBUNT reports quarterly; assign donor lists to team members with regular progress check-ins.
o Manage annual staff donor thank you program
o Ensure major donors are identified and assigned to relevant FaithBridge team members.
o Run monthly lapsed donor lists from Development team portfolios and communicate findings to the relevant team member(s).
o Respond to donor inquiries and complaints regarding checks, EFT, DAF, credit cards, and stock gifts.
o Oversee donor commitment reminders and invoicing (e.g., capital campaign and/or naming gifts).
o Manage and execute honorarium and memorial gift acknowledgment process
o Generate custom reports (e.g., board reporting) and letter templates for donor communication.
o Manage an annual staff-wide donor thank you program.
o Support a culture of collaboration and mission-driven advancement across the Development department.
o Conduct and manage year-end giving statement process
o Ensure adherence to and manage reporting requirements for processing tax credit gifts to FaithBridge's Youth Opportunities progra

QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor's degree required
o 5-7 year's work experience in nonprofit fundraising, development operations, and/or donor relations.
o Good working experience in relation to individuals, church groups and staff
o Strong proficiency in CRM platforms (Bloomerang or similar) and Microsoft Office (Strong Excel experience preferred).
o Familiarity with design tools like Canva, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
o Desire to do additional systematic self-study to upgrade knowledge and skills in development field.
o Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate information, identify opportunities, solve problems, and recommend practical next steps.
o Aspiration to manage a core function in a collaborative Development team.
o Willingness to work collaboratively across Marketing and Development teams.
o Friendly, responsive, and professional interpersonal skills.
o Willingness to manage a small personal donor portfolio.
