In this role, you will provide exceptional grooming services for dogs and cats, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best while maintaining their health and comfort. Your expertise will help strengthen the bond between pets and their owners, creating a positive experience that keeps clients coming back. This paid position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in pet grooming, animal handling, and customer service within a supportive team dedicated to animal well-being.
Responsibilities:
  • 1 to 3 years experience required in a professional grooming shop, performing grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling for dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes.
  • Handle pets with care, using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff.
  • Assess each pet’s coat condition, skin health, and temperament to tailor grooming procedures accordingly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized grooming area by sanitizing tools and workspaces regularly.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare advice.
  • Assist with pet handling tasks such as veterinary restraint or routine pet care when needed.
  • Support team members with additional animal handling duties including kennel cleaning or pet sitting during busy periods.
