A Dog Content Creator is someone who produces and shares engaging content centered around dogs, often on social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. Their work typically includes photos, videos, blogs, and other creative media featuring dogs, either their own pets or others. The goal is to entertain, educate, or inspire audiences who love dogs, sometimes collaborating with brands or promoting pet-related products. Dog Content Creators may also focus on specific niches, such as dog training, health tips, or humorous dog antics.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a dog content creator?

To thrive as a Dog Content Creator, you need creativity in content development, strong photography and video production skills, and a deep understanding of dog behavior and trends in pet culture. Familiarity with social media platforms, video editing software (like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro), and analytics tools is typically required. These skills are crucial for producing relatable, high-quality content that resonates with followers and attracts brand partnerships.

What are some common challenges dog content creators face when developing engaging content?

Dog Content Creators often encounter challenges such as keeping content fresh and authentic, ensuring the dog is comfortable and safe during shoots, and adapting to changing social media trends. Job description

About your team and position:
We're looking for a creative, self-motivated Full Stack Content Creator to join our Creative team in Cleveland. This is a hybrid role - you'll work alongside our Creative Directors, Growth team, and R&D team in person, with the flexibility to create independently when you're not collaborating on-site.
You'll take creative briefs and quickly turn them into engaging, platform-native content built for paid social. Working closely with Creative, Growth, and our in-house team, you'll concept within a given strategy, film, edit, and deliver multiple versions of high-performing creative designed for Meta, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Being on the ground in Cleveland means you'll have direct access to our product, our dogs, and the people behind the brand - which makes the content better.
You'll understand what makes someone stop scrolling, how to write compelling hooks, and how to create content that feels native to each platform rather than overly produced. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys creating every day, and can move from brief to finished assets in 24-48 hours.
Your day-to-day:
  • Concept 10-20 paid social ad ideas and transform them into compelling, platform-native creative
  • Film original content with creators, customers, products, and dogs - leveraging your proximity to our Cleveland team and R&D lab
  • Edit multiple versions optimized for Meta, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, with strong first-three-second hooks and compelling captions
  • Produce multiple hook variations, CTAs, and edit styles from a single shoot
  • Turn briefs into finished ads within 24-48 hours, managing your own production schedule and consistently hitting deadlines
  • Incorporate performance learnings from Growth into every new sprint - iterate fast, test often
  • Stay on top of platform trends, creator formats, and AI tools to keep creative fresh and ahead of the curve
  • Collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Copywriters, Designers, Growth, and Brand teams to continuously sharpen output

What success looks like:
  • First 30 days: Complete onboarding and independently deliver first 10 paid assets, then produce 15-20 finished paid assets (with multiple hooks/variations) from one full creative sprint - turning around first-round creative within 48 hours on 90% of assignments.
  • First 3 months (Day 90): Operate fully autonomously - managing weekly workload and deadlines without oversight - while producing high-performing creative (at least one asset in the top-performing rotation per Growth KPIs) and launching at least 3 new creative concepts adopted by the team.
  • Ongoing metrics: Sustain 20-30 finished paid assets per week (8-10 net-new concepts, 30-50 hook variations), with first concepts delivered in 24-48 hours, under 5% returned for major revisions, and creative consistently meeting or exceeding the Growth team's CTR/Hold Rate/CPA/ROAS benchmarks.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • Experience creating DTC Meta ads
  • Familiarity with Motion, After Effects (nice to have), or AI creative tools
  • Comfortable directing and or editing content from creators
  • Photography experience
  • Located in Cleveland, OH
  • Passion for pets or consumer brands
  • A dog (not a requirement just a plus!)
