About the role

We're hiring a compassionate, dependable Animal Care Specialist (Kennel Assistant) to join our team. You'll be responsible for the daily care, comfort, and well-being of dogs, cats, and small animals in our facility. If you love animals and want a hands-on role where no two days are the same, we'd love to meet you.


What you'll do

  • Feed, water, and monitor animals throughout each shift
  • Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, and common areas
  • Walk dogs and facilitate supervised TLC sessions
  • Observe and record changes in animal behavior or health
  • Bathing services for cats and dogs
  • Assist with owner check-ins and check-outs at the front desk


What we're looking for

  • Genuine love of animals of all kinds
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working weekends and holidays
  • Prior animal care experience preferred but not required
  • Calm, patient demeanor — especially with anxious or fearful animals
  • Basic computer skills for recordkeeping
