Global Medical Response (GMR) is proud to be an authorized provider of the DOD SkillBridge program, offering Service Members the opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience in the medical response industry through training and internships.ย 

Under the SkillBridge program, GMR hosts active-duty U.S. Military members for skilled employment training during the final six months of their active-duty obligated service. The SkillBridge Program with GMR will run for up to 180-days.ย ย 

We're hiring Paramedics for our DOD SkillBridge Program that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care to our customers.ย ย 

Responsibilities:ย 

  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.ย 

  • Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.ย 

  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.ย 

  • Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.ย 

  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.ย 

  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.ย 

Other Responsibilities:ย 

  • Participate in community programs to maintain GMR image and establish strong community relations.ย 

MinimumRequired Qualifications:ย 

  • Current Active-Duty Service Memberย 

  • Meets DoD SkillBridge Qualificationsย 

  • Available to participate 90-days.ย 

  • Obtain approval from your unit commander and agree that participation in SkillBridge can be terminated at any time by the Service if mission requirements dictate.ย 

  • Work remotely in the continental USย 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)ย 

  • State Driver's Licenseย 

  • National or State PARAMEDIC Certification (as Applicable)ย 

  • CPR Certificationย 

  • PALS Certificationย 

  • PHTLS or ITLS Certificationย 

  • Pass Physical Ability Testย 

  • Driving Record in Compliance with Company Policyย
