Job Description
Link Solutions is seeking a PC Support Technicianto join our Fort Leavenworth, KS.
  • US Citizen with an active DoW Secret Clearance
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The PC Support Technician will support the US Army Corrections Command (ACC) Army Corrections Brigade (ACB) G6 by providing desktop and technical support services to military, civilian, and contractor personnel. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment to ensure reliable IT operations.
Responsibilities include resolving hardware and software issues, supporting user accounts and system access, imaging and deploying workstations, managing service tickets, maintaining IT asset inventories, and assisting with technology refreshes and upgrades. The Technician will collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues and help ensure compliance with Army and Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide help desk and desktop support services, diagnose technical issues, and implement resolutions or temporary workarounds when immediate resolution is not possible.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and relocate desktop computers, laptops, printers, peripheral devices, and related hardware and software.
  • Perform system imaging, software installations, upgrades, patches, and operating system configuration to optimize system performance.
  • Install and configure network adapters, internet connections, and peripheral devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, cabling, and configuration issues.
  • Respond to user inquiries and service requests, providing technical assistance for PCs, servers, hardware, software, operating systems, and standard business applications.
  • Coordinate technical support activities with the local Network Enterprise Center (NEC) and other IT support organizations.
  • Manage and resolve service tickets for Training Management Directorate (TMD) users in accordance with established service level requirements.
  • Maintain IT asset inventories and documentation related to hardware, software, and system configurations.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of organizational IT standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide on-call support outside normal business hours for scheduled maintenance, service interruptions, and mission-critical incidents.

Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoW Secret Clearance.
  • IAT Level II certification or higher in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 requirements (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, or equivalent).
  • Two (2+) years of experience as a PC Support Technician, Help Desk Specialist, Desktop Support Technician, or in a related IT support role.
  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting PC, workstation, and server hardware and software.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving network connectivity, cabling, and network interface issues.
  • Experience providing help desk and desktop support, identifying technical issues, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Experience responding to user inquiries and providing technical assistance for PC systems, operating systems, and standard business applications.
  • Knowledge of Windows workstation administration and support.
  • Current certification in one or more of the following technologies: Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft Server 2016/2019, or Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator.

Preferred:
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • Experience providing quality service and support for mission-critical systems and VIP end users.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
