Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data utilized by the software to ensure validity. Collaboration to ensure data is valid and there is no loss of data within the software:

  • Identify and analyze data from multiple data source.
  • Design and implement tools, data models, and algorithms to optimize data validation, accuracy, and analysis tasks.
  • Create and present reports that detail findings, recommendations, and solutions.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or other relevant major is required from an institution regionally accredited by one of the following:
    • Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)
    • Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU)
    • Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
    • New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE)
    • Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission of Colleges (SACSCOC),
    • Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Senior College University Commission (WSCUC)

EXPERIENCE:

  • Three (3) years of notable experience with software development, integration, or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts
  • Frequent scripting language use, such as Python and R and using packages commonly used in data science applications or advanced analytics
  • Notable experience with data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms to support analytics objectives.
  • Structured Query Language (SQL), Non-Structured Query Language (NoSQL), Application Program Interface (API) Building, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines, Web Application Servers, or Search Index; experience using programming languages and products such as Python, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Numpy, Requests, or Antigravity
  • Experience applying complex mathematical and statistical concepts, statistical and operations research methods and tools and development of spreadsheets for data manipulation and visualization.

CLEARANCE

  • TS Level Clearance required with SCI eligibility

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • DoD Intelligence collection and analysis experience is a huge plus.

LOCATION

  • The work location is North Charleston, SC, with 0-5% travel expected. This is an on-site position at a government lab.
