Commercial Litigation Attorney

Abrams Fensterman, LLP is a full-service law firm dedicated to providing clients with high-quality counsel, innovative solutions, and personalized service. Established in 2000, the firm has grown to include over 120 attorneys across multiple practice areas, offering sophisticated legal services with a collaborative, client-focused approach.


We are seeking a Litigation Associate (5+ years of experience) to join our Commercial Litigation team on Long Island. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven attorney to take on a substantive role handling complex matters within a fast-paced and dynamic litigation practice.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct and defend depositions and handle court appearances in state and federal courts
  • Manage all aspects of discovery, including document review, production, and strategy
  • Handle arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations
  • Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic legal guidance
  • Collaborate with attorneys on case strategy, motion practice, and trial preparation
  • Prepare for and assist with hearings and trials
  • Supervise junior attorneys and support staff as needed


Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the New York State Bar (New Jersey admission is a plus)
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation
  • Strong experience with motion practice, depositions, and court appearances
  • Experience managing cases independently from start to finish
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills
