Position Overview

The Document Review Attorney will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of real estate and foreclosure-related legal documentation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, structured environment and takes pride in precision and accountability.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Westbury, New York.


Responsibilities
  • Review, analyze, and interpret legal documents related to real estate, foreclosure, and title matters

  • Conduct quality control (QC) of pleadings, affidavits, and related court filings

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or deficiencies in legal documents

  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws, client directives, and court requirements

  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy

  • Maintain detailed records of document review progress within firm systems

  • Provide support to litigation and foreclosure teams as needed


Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • Admission to the New York State Bar (required)

  • 1โ€“5 years of experience in document review, real estate, foreclosure, or litigation preferred

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing complex documentation

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
