Verify application information, supporting documentation, and funding requirements
Perform quality assurance reviews on documentation and account information
Research businesses, industries, and supporting information used in underwriting decisions
Obtain, review, label, and upload business filings, background reports, and required documentation
Investigate and resolve information discrepancies that may impact underwriting review
Conduct bank verification activities and support funding preparation
Prepare contract requests and verify documentation prior to funding
Maintain organized records and documentation within company systems
Collaborate with underwriting team members and business partners to support efficient workflow and timely decisions

What You'll Learn:

How underwriting teams evaluate commercial funding opportunities
Hands-on experience with documentation review, verification, and quality assurance processes
Exposure to commercial finance, risk assessment, and lending operations
Business research and investigative techniques used in underwriting decisions
Cross-functional collaboration with underwriting, operations, sales, and funding teams

Why Join Us:

Career Launchpad: Build a foundation in underwriting, lending operations, and commercial finance
Hands-On Experience: Work directly with underwriting documentation, business research, and funding preparation
Growth Potential: Opportunity to progress into Underwriting Processing Specialist, Senior Underwriter, and Senior Underwriting Specialist roles
Team Environment: Collaborative, fast-paced, and execution-focused
Consistency: Monday-Friday schedule with predictable hours

Work Environment:

In-office role based in either Sioux Falls, SD or Sandy, UT

What We're Looking For:

Strong candidates typically have experience in:

  • Administrative or operational support roles
  • Documentation review, record management, or quality assurance activities
  • Banking, financial services, insurance, or lending environments
  • Researching and validating information from multiple sources
  • Working in structured, process-driven environments

You'll Thrive in This Role If You Are:

  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Naturally curious and investigative
  • Comfortable performing repetitive work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Analytical and process-driven
  • Reliable, accountable, and consistent
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Required Experience:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business technology tools
  • Ability to research, analyze, and validate information from multiple sources
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Preferred Experience:

  • One to three years of experience in underwriting support, loan processing, financial services, banking, administrative operations, or a related field
