About this opportunity: We are seeking a motivated and analytical PMO Intern to join the MACS CSS Project Management Office for a 12-week summer internship.

This role provides hands-on exposure to project portfolio management, governance, reporting, process improvement, and digital tools used to support project execution. The intern will work with PMO and project operations professionals to improve visibility into portfolio performance, strengthen governance practices, and identify opportunities to simplify and automate recurring activities. The role will also involve exploring practical applications of AI, data analytics, and automation to enhance reporting, identify trends and risks, streamline documentation, and improve decision-making.

The intern may support the evaluation and responsible adoption of AI-enabled tools while ensuring data quality, confidentiality, and alignment with organizational policies. What you will do: Support the preparation, analysis, and distribution of portfolio and project status reports. Maintain dashboards, trackers, and management reporting used to monitor project health, milestones, risks, issues, actions, and dependencies.

Help collect, validate, and organize project data from multiple stakeholders and systems. Support PMO governance activities, including meeting preparation, action tracking, documentation, and follow-up. Assist with maintaining project documentation and ensuring adherence to established processes, methodologies, and control requirements.

Prepare presentations, summaries, and insights for PMO and leadership reviews. Identify opportunities to improve reporting quality, data consistency, and PMO ways of working. Explore automation opportunities for recurring PMO activities using approved digital tools.

Support responsible use of GenAI and other productivity tools for documentation, analysis, reporting, and process improvement. Collaborate with project managers, PMO specialists, business operations teams, and cross-functional stakeholders. Perform other project operations and PMO support activities as assigned.

The skills you bring: Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in business, project management, operations, information systems, engineering, data analytics, or a related field. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience using many AI models and Agent design process Interest in project management, portfolio operations, business reporting, or process improvement.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, dashboards, and structured information. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders from different functions and locations. Curiosity, initiative, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.

Experience creating dashboards, reports, presentations, or data visualizations. Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or similar collaboration and reporting tools. Coursework or experience in project management, business analysis, data analytics, process improvement, or finance/accounting.

Basic understanding of project lifecycle concepts, governance, risk management, or continuous improvement. Interest in automation, artificial intelligence, or GenAI applications in business operations. What happens once you apply.
