Job description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

We are looking for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical Unit in a dynamic hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience, with a strong ability to manage a variety of patients and conditions. As an RN in the medical-surgical unit, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to adult patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.

Location: Hospital Setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to individuals recovering from surgery, illness, or injury.

  • Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and implement prescribed treatments.

  • Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and carry out personalized care plans.

  • Assess patients’ conditions, identify changes, and respond accordingly.

  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and recovery process.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients through proper infection control protocols.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience in a hospital setting.

  • Strong clinical skills in managing a variety of medical and surgical conditions.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate care.

  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
