Senior Strategic Intelligence Analyst
Huntsman is seeking a Senior Strategic Intelligence Analyst supporting the Global Strategic Planning Office located in The Woodlands, TX (open to other regional headquarters for the right candidate). This position will report to the Director of Strategic Planning.
Job Scope
The Senior Strategic Intelligence Analyst will support the Global Strategic Planning Office by managing and developing strategic market intelligence, financial analysis, dashboards, and reporting tools that enable senior leaders to make informed business decisions. This role is responsible for maintaining critical market databases and analytical models, consolidating global market intelligence, monitoring industry trends, and delivering executive-level insights across the global MDI business and broader strategic planning initiatives.
In summary, as the Senior Strategic Intelligence Analyst, you will:
  • Manage and maintain the Global MDI Supply & Demand database and dashboard, ensuring data accuracy and timely monthly reporting.
  • Consolidate and reconcile global imports and exports data, developing visualizations and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain and update cash cost curve and landed cost models in collaboration with logistics and operations subject matter experts.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives through market research, competitive intelligence gathering, and data analysis.
  • Prepare and manage market data exchanges with third-party intelligence providers.
  • Track customer and competitor investor calls, earnings releases, and industry reports, providing summarized insights and market sentiment analysis.
  • Develop executive presentations, dashboards, and reports using advanced data visualization techniques.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance analytical tools, workflows, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and data quality.
  • Partner with finance, marketing, operations, and strategy teams to provide actionable business insights.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in market intelligence, business analytics, strategic planning, finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced experience utilizing Excel, including complex models, pivot tables, dashboards, and data analysis.
  • Experience developing business intelligence solutions and dashboards using Power BI or similar tools.
  • Experience working with large data sets and data integration tools such as Power Query, Alteryx, or comparable platforms.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex market, financial, and competitive information and translate it into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent data visualization and storytelling capabilities.

  • Experience within the petrochemical, chemical, manufacturing, or energy industries.
  • Knowledge of the petrochemical value chain, particularly MDI markets.
  • Experience analyzing financial statements, earnings reports, and investor communications.
  • Experience developing automated reporting solutions and advanced business intelligence tools.
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled productivity tools, including Microsoft Copilot or related AI technologies.
  • Experience supporting executive-level strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Advanced Power BI, Alteryx, and Power Query expertise.

Working Environment
  • Primarily office-based environment with extensive computer and data analysis work.
  • Frequent collaboration with global teams across multiple time zones.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support business and strategic planning activities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
