Job description

Find your calling at Mercy! Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details:

Hours/Schedule:

Full-Time/Days

Monday-Thursday, 4 10's

No Holidays/No Weekends

New Incentives:$20,000 Sign on Bonus

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy

  • Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice

  • Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period.

  • Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients

  • Skills and Abilities:

    • Must have general knowledge of evaluation and treatment principles for a diverse number and types of diagnoses.

  • Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:

    • Patient care may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing.

    • Must demonstrate competency in equipment used for the delivery of modalities.

    • Must be able to push 40 lbs., pull 60 lbs., grip 50 lbs. and pinch 15 lbs.
