Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general direction of the Pharmacy Operations Manager, reviews, interprets, and processes medication orders, Enters orders into computer system and fills required prescriptions, prepares and/or directly supervises the preparation of IV admixtures, checks all work done by technicians and clerks, and compounds medications as needed. Communicates with nursing and medical personnel regarding medication orders or drug therapy issues and reviews medication profiles.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor of Science of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required
  • Certifications: License to practice Pharmacy in Missouri and Registration with the State Board of Pharmacy in Missouri required (or ability to transfer license to Missouri)
  • Medication Therapeutic Services certification (MTS) required
  • A minimum of six months’ hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Completion of approved internship program
