Overview

Doc Coordinator

Port St Lucie Location

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and facilitate workflow to maximize efficient loading processes.
  • Assist in mitigating obstacles presented during the loading process (i.e. locating pallets, getting pallets picked, and trailer issues).
  • Must work in a safe manner adhering to all company safety guidelines.
  • Assist in weekly load audits for quality and accuracy.
  • Accountable for all pallets of all commodities being staged for loading.
  • Assist customer service in the investigation of missing or mishandled pallets.
  • Assist in assembling paperwork and verify that the proper trailer is backed into the dock for loading.
  • Assist loaders in the loading of product on trailers in proper sequence, making sure that weight is distributed evenly and comply with government weight standards.
  • Ensure leave times are met for all outbound loads.
  • Assist Shipping Specialist with managing workflow for all docks.
  • Assist audit team with checks for accuracy and quality of customer orders.
  • May be required to operate a forklift, pallet jack, or other tasks as necessary.
  • Must have excellent self-motivation.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • 2-5 years of progressive distribution experience.
  • Should possess excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Should have 2-5 years' work experience as a loader (checker).
  • Should possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to communicate with all employees and carriers honestly and with respect.
  • Prior truck loading experience.
  • Mainframe, Triceps, and PowerYard operational experience preferred.
  • Ability to recognize, report, and mitigate improper loading techniques.
